The Incredible Edible Egg

Y'all, went to my folks house Friday to play with the nephew and see the family. Saturday morning mom treated us to a make-your-own omelette.

You're probably thinking what is so cool about that, right?

Well the omelette was prepared AND cooked in a Zip Lock bag!!!! I'm being serious, y'all !!

It goes a little something like this:

Fill pan with water and place on stove. Bring water to rolling boil.

Obtain your Zip Lock bag and crack 2 eggs into bag. "scramble" the eggs by mashing the bag with your fingers.

Once the eggs are "scrambled" to your liking, add your fav omelette fixins.

Next, seal your bag and be sure to remove all air and make sure your fixins are mixed nicely between the eggs.

Add your omelette in a bag to the pot of boiling water. Let the omelette cook for 13 minutes.

Finally, remove hot bag from pot and open the bag and place your omelette on a plate!!!

My omelette broke in two when removing from bag, hence the line down the masterpiece.

It's so good, easy, quick and fun for a group! Just be sure to label your bag so you don't eat somebody else's omelette!!

Let me know if you try it! I was skeptical the ENTIRE time...thinking the bag would melt, but no it works like a charm!!!
