How Sweet it is to be...

In the Sweet 16!!

Tonight the Baylor Bears face off against a very talent St. Mary’s at the NCAA Sweet 16 regional tournament in Houston.

Unfortunately, we could not make the trip down to Houston because of my work calendar being full. BOO. However, our sweet Aggie and Kansas State friends, Rachel and Matt Schafer, will be joining us…let’s just hope they actually cheer for Baylor. Ha.

I’ve been going to Baylor Basketball games since I was a newborn. Literally. I can remember going to basketball games before we had the Ferrell Center and there was no air conditioning inside the HOT Coliseum…we’ve come a long way since then.

I’ve never been more proud to be a Bear before. In fact, I’ve been wearing some shade of green/gold all week, just to support my Bears.

The women have also made it to the Sweet 16 and face off against the dreaded Tennessee Lady Vols Saturday night. Go Lady Bears!

There are only 5 teams that have both their men and women in the Sweet 16!

“We’ll fling our green and gold afar…”

Just Another American Saturday Night

Our 2nd annual trip to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was
another one for the memory books.

During the weekend we saw:
Brad Paisley- always an awesome performer
Blake Shelton
Ate the best corn dog. Ever.
Saw somebody buy a lamb for $190,000
Had some great quality time with Travis and his cousins
Danced until 1am at The Hideout

We are already looking forward to next years trip! If you haven't been
to the Houston rodeo, you've got to check it out!

Snore Fest 2010

Last night hubs and Coon dog were having a ‘Snore-off’. Whoever can snores the loudest…wins!

It didn’t wake me up (thankfully), but when I was getting ready this morning and the boys were still slumbering, it was like a competition was being held in the bedroom. I wish I could have recorded it because it was hilarious. Thankfully hubs only snores when he’s stopped up, but Coon dog usually snores every night (just not this loud).

The winner is…hubs!!!!
