She was so cute and so comfy in her little bed.

Kangaroo Song
Mom and I were shopping along Main Street in Fredricksburg the other day and we saw a playpen, but there was no baby inside. Instead there was a six month old kangaroo named Sheila!! They are getting her acclimated to people so that she can be used at a zoo. We even got to pet her precious head.

Busy Bee
Over the weekend I attended a baby shower for an 'old' Baylor friend and co-worker and attended the wedding of a dear childhood friend. Thankfully both events occured in Dallas so little travel was involved.
The baby shower was great and Miss. Caroline is going to have a lot of cute toys and clothes to play with when she arrives in early September. Her mom and dad already love her so much. I can't wait to meet her as she has been prayed for daily.
The wedding was bea-utiful. The ceremony was wonderful, centered on Christ, and the bride and groom were so so happy. I loved seeing Brittany, the bride, turn and just smile at all of her family and friends that were in attendance. The reception was held at a neat venue downtown...the food was great, the band was full of energy, and the cakes were beautiful. The videographer of the wedding did something I have never seen at a wedding before and I loved it. He had filmed the guys and girls getting ready throughout the day, shot the wedding, and the first part of the reception. Then he somehow had time to do some editing of that footage and threw it all together for a little 'day of' video that was shown at the end of the reception. You can see the video here. How cool is that?
Sunday I was supposed to be headed to another baby shower in Fairfield, but I broke our shower. Yes, while attempting to turn the water off at the end of the shower I apparently turned too hard and broke off the knob to the cold water. (go ahead and laugh at me now) I was running late and I couldn't get a hold of Travis, so I had to figure it out all by myself and I missed the shower. I now know how to turn off the water supply to our house and replace the knob to the shower valve.

Red, Red wine
A few weeks ago Travis and I headed down to Llano for some r and r with his parents. It had been WAY too long since we had seen them and we were thrilled to finally spend a wonderful weekend together!
Saturday morning we headed up the road to Fredricksburg, Texas to take a little visit to Texas wine country. We decided to visit Becker Vineyards because my best friend, Erin, went to high school with the Becker's son Joe. Did ya follow that? You can find their wine at most any grocery store/wine store in Texas, it's good, AND budget friendly.
The best part about the story is that 3 months ago I couldn't pay Travis to pick up a glass of wine and now he's offically a wino. He loves it and I'm so proud that his taste buds have grown expanded to more than just beer.
If you are ever in the Fredricksburg/Marble Falls area, I urge you to check out the Texas vineyards. They are all friendly and pretty good too!
Now that we've experienced the little Texas winery division, we are ready for Napa.
