The last time I blogged, we had just crossed the half way mark and now we are closing in on 31 weeks.
Time if flying by now...which is OK by me because I think i have
finally passed my all day nausea/vomiting, barely tolerating anything phase. Yay! I can now usually go a week without getting sick, I'm off my anti-nausea meds, and I think Travis is excited that I'm fully functional again because I'm cooking and grocery shopping.
Bump Pics:
30 Weeks
Cravings:
none. I'm just excited that any food sounds good now!
Pregnancy Brain:
-Only shaving one leg
-Using T's shaving cream as hair mousse. Thankfully, I didn't do too much damage before noticing my mistake.
Nursery:
It's still a work in progress, but it is finally starting to come together. I found the bedding on Etsy and had a lady make it. I LOVE the way it turned out. We're going for a rustic chic theme....not too country, not too preppy. I think it is going to turn out wonderful! We still need the changing table (which SuSu is using her Annie Sloan chalk paint magic on), crown molding, painting an accent wall, rug, name above the crib, and an old ladder that will be mounted on the space between the windows and will hold blankets.
Not much sweeter than watching your hubby work so hard to put the room together.
I am SO excited about this crib! One of my nearest and dearest friends since 6th grade used this crib for her two sweet girls, Karlie and Kinsey. Now we get to use this well-loved crib for our Baby Bear. It makes my heart smile looking it at.
Name:
Since we found out we were expecting, we've been calling him Baby Bear. Once we had our reveal in October, we started working on names. We started with a list of 5 names and narrowed it down to 2. Over a course of a couple of weeks, The Lord laid one specific name on my heart and I just knew it had to be 'the one', but I didn't want to force it on Travis. I prayed about it (sounds silly to pray over a name, but I just KNEW), and one day T called me on his way home from work and called Bear by THE name. Signed. Sealed. Delivered. We had a name, but how were we going to tell our family?
Both of our families thought we were waiting until he was born to reveal a name, so we thought it would be fun to tell them at Christmas. We had a beach towel made for JimJim and SuSu's (Huey's) new pool and a lovie for Cita and Pops (Riley's).
Introducing: Hudson Langford Riley
Hudson is SuSu's maiden name. I was so very close to Gram and GDad, and I have always loved that name and thought it would be perfect for a boy. I couldn't be more proud/excited to use this special family name for our Bear.
Langford is Travis' middle name which he gets from his grandfather (maternal).
We both love that we get to incorporate two special family names into our first child.
This is a picture of me and my brother Trent with Gram and Gdad Hudson...sometime in the 80s.
Not too much longer and we will have Hudson Langford in our arms. We would love your prayers as we get closer to his arrival date for a continued healthy pregnancy, safe delivery (and quick), and a happy and healthy baby boy.
We can't wait to meet you HLR!
