Since we are still new to the area and are trying to really sink our teeth into a little bit of everything, we decided to take advantage of the offer and see what the Caverns were all about.
It's a fairly quick 45 minute tour of some underground caverns that were discovered over 100 years ago.
I'll let the pictures do the talking:
1 of 3 lakes
Stalagtites
This is still an active cave, so there are new formations all over.
These little guys are referred to as soda straw and will be full-fledged Stalagtites in about 300 years.
Not a great pic, but this is the only indoor waterfall in Texas. Beautiful!!!
If you're ever in the San Antonio area, I highly recommend a visit to Cascade Caverns.
