Baby Bear 2

We're 24 weeks into the second pregnancy, so I guess it's time to document some memories about it.

* We found out just days before Travis' bday. I debated on waiting to tell him on his bday, but I couldn't do it. We were both so very excited.

* The nausea/vomiting started earlier this pregnancy than with Hudson. It started before I even took the pregnancy test.

* We switched doctors so that I could deliver at my hospital with the nurses I love and know the best. I adore my doctor (and enjoy all of the OB/GYNs I work with), and have loved getting to experience this side of her.

* Travis' current project for work is at my hospital, so he's able to attend every appointment with me.

*Hudson still doesn't have much of an idea of what's coming his way, but he does point to my belly and say baby...so, there's a start.

Weeks: 24
Sex: Boy
-- There are 16 Riley men and only 4 Riley women

Movement: he moves all the time. Travis felt him move for the first time on 8/30.

Sick: I'm still struggling with nausea/vomiting, but it has become second nature to me and it doesn't phase me that much. I carry a cup in my car and keep extra toothpaste at work. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Nicknames: Baby Bear 2, BB2

Nursery Plans: BB2 will be moving into Hudson's nursery and Hudson will be moving to a new big boy room!

Name: we finally have a name and oh is it a sweet and special name just like Hudson's.

Charles Reid Riley

*Charles is the name of Travis' 96 year old grandfather. Travis shared the news with him on his 96th birthday, and he said he was so very honored and was the best news he's heard in 96 years.

* We will call him Charlie.

His first outfit. Just waiting for a sweet boy to wear it.
Oh, Charlie Bear we can't wait to meet you and love on you. You are prayed for daily, and we can't wait to see The Lord's plans for you.

Somewhere on a Beach

The annual Huey Family Vacaction detoured from our normal spot, Gulf Shores, AL, to Destin, FL for a good reason: Travis' aunt and uncle bought a condo in Destin and we really needed to check it out.

We knew it would be a further drive, but the amenities looked great and we wanted to check it out.

We headed east from Houston in the wee hours Saturday morning:
Food was required when H woke up. No better way to start your day than with breakfast at Chic-Fil-A.
Approximately 1 million hours later (thank you Destin traffic) we arrived safe and sound at the beautiful Ariel Dunes Resort.

After putting H to bed, we took a stroll on the beach.
Note: JimJim and SuSu were watching H. He was not left alone.

We headed out for the beach at 0730 the next day because H was ready to go:
We spent the remainder of our time playing in the sand, building castles, waving at everybody we walked by, splashing in the waves, eating delicious seafood, and shopping.

Vacation doesn't mean a break from naps. This pop up tent was the best $28 I've ever spent. He napped everyday without issue!

We got some pretty exciting news while we were on the beach. Hudson is going to be a big brother. Baby Bear 2 is slated to arrive in mid December.

Another precious boy!
Every morning JimJim would go down to the beach and mark our territory for the day with our chairs and umbrellas. We made friends with a sweet family from Tennessee. The husband was a talented sand artist. Did I just make that up? Ever say he would make a new creation. They loved watching hudson and would play with him. On the last day we got a picture with our new friends.
We had a wonderful time in Destin and we cannot wait to go back!
